About the Kilties


Chartered since 1993, the Syracuse Kilties are honored to be the Official Pipe Band of Syracuse, NY,
representing the City, her Police and Fire Departments.


We began in 1958, making us the oldest pipe band in Syracuse. Although we have changed our tartan and member numbers many times over the years, today many of our members still work for the Police, Fire and Emergency Services of Central New York. Most of the horse-hair sporans we still wear today are from our original 1958 uniform.

The Kilties can be found performing in many venues throughout the year, such as:

Parades — We lead off the Syracuse St. Patrick's Day Parade
Memorial Day & Veteran's Day
 
Syracuse Irish Festival and Gaelic Mass
 
Fireman's Fields Days
In both Onondaga & Oswego Counties: Constantia, Pulaski, Mexico, Minoa, East Syracuse
